The STAR-L optical detector monitors elastomer presence / breaks in "Core-Spun" type feed systems.
Use of the STAR-L detector helps to eliminate the production of yarns without elastomer, which are difficult to detect during winding, thereby avoiding problems during the weaving phase.
The STAR-L detector is the shape of a rectangular section bar with extremely compact dimensions that enable it to be installed on different types of ring spinning frames and "Core-Spun" feed systems.

Breaks can be signalled as follows:
1. Illumination of an indicator lamp to inform the operator of the side of the spinning frame involved.
